Myanmar national Phyo Min Naing and Singapore Permanent Resident Zaw Min Hlaing were on Monday morning (Jun 29) brought back to an alleged crime scene to help police with their investigations.
The men, both dressed in a red polo tee, were brought to Pasir Ris multi-storey carpark at Block 747A Pasir Ris Street 71, where they had reportedly attempted to abduct the victim, Singapore PR Aye Maung Maung Thet.
Phyo Min Naing, Zaw Min Hlaing and two others, Yae Wynnt Oaung and Win Kyaw Kyaw Aung alias Aung Aung, allegedly intended to kill Aye Maung Maung on Jun 20.
Aung Aung, Zaw Min Hlaing and Phyo Min Naing then attempted to abduct the victim the following day at about 9.30pm at the Pasir Ris multi-storey carpark. In the process of doing so, Zaw Min Hlaing and Phyo Min Naing allegedly hurt the victim by assaulting and using a taser on him.
Yae Whynnt Oaung, Phyo Min Naing and Zaw Min Hlaing were arrested on Jun 22 and charged on Jun 24 with one count each of abetment by conspiracy to commit murder.
During the arrests, police also seized items such as a meat mincer, chainsaw, kitchen knives, gas cooker, gas cylinder tank, a tool set, trolley bags, plastic sheets, cable ties, cleaver, aprons, chopping board and rubber boots. An abandoned vehicle - believed to be linked to the case - was also seized from a carpark in Changi Airport Terminal 3.
Police said they are looking for 29-year-old Aung Aung. He is believed to have left Singapore on Monday morning. Anyone with information on the suspect can contact the police at 1800-255-0000. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
