Tutor caught on camera smacking girl 5 times on the head with stack of paper

Part-time sales assistant Suraima Sanif caught her daughter's tutor hitting her 12-year-old daughter on Sept 13 with her iPhone. Her video showed the tutor, Ms Soufi Raisa hitting Nina (not her real name) on the side of her face with a stack of paper.

Nina had earlier claimed her tutor was always getting upset over little things, including when she asked questions when unsure, despite her tutor having told her to do so. In addition to hitting her student with the stack of papers, she had also slapped, scolded, poked and pulled her ear.

On Sept 13, Madam Suraima, 37, decided to place her iPhone on the coffee table in her living room to catch Ms Soufi, 29, in the act. Her video captured footage of hitting her daughter on the side of her face with a stack of paper, and she decided to sack the tutor.

According to Madam Suraima, the tutor had started hitting Nina on the very first lesson on Nov 16 last year. Months later, the girl claimed her tutor had slapped her on the face four times during tuition on Aug 30.

Nina also explained that she had not told her mother about the abuse because she was afraid that her lessons with the tutor would turn awkward.
