Stomach-churning clip shows mum feeding toddler LIVE worms from bowl of crawling insects

This clip of a mother and her young daughter shows an alternative approach to toddler snacking - as the little girl is fed live worms.

The mum is seen picking up each crawling insect from a bowl full of the black creatures.

As they wriggle in the bowl, the mother has no issue handing her daughter the worms to swallow down.

The young girl seems totally unaware of what she's eating and seems happy to swallow the live insects .

As the mum can be heard giving gentle encouragement from behind the camera, she too takes a worm to eat.
The doe-eyed girl consumes at least five worms in the 52-second clip.

​At one point her mother can be seen dropping some worms near the girl's feet, who then watches them wriggle away.

But that doesn't seem to stop her from accepting more insects handed to her by her mother.

The clip caused a stir online, with many viewers supporting the mum in her actions, siting cultural differences as reason for the divide in opinions.
