Sheltered walkway collapses at Bukit Batok West

​A sheltered walkway at Block 116 Bukit Batok West Avenue 6 collapsed on Friday morning (Jun 17), leaving a parked car badly damaged.

No one was injured in the incident, which occurred at 9.37am, according to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

A stationary car was seen crushed by the collapsed shelter when a Channel NewsAsia reporter visited the scene at about 11.20am.

Channel NewsAsia understands that the sheltered walkway collapsed after the crane boom of a lorry crashed into it.
