An SBS Transit bus ended up on a tennis court on Friday evening (Sep 30) - the second time in as many days that a public bus has ended up offside.
A contributor who declined to be named sent Channel NewsAsia a photo of the bus, which appears to have crashed through a fence next to Yio Chu Kang MRT station.
"We take this accident seriously. We are investigating the matter and will take remedial action," said Tammy Tan, senior vice president, corporate communications at SBS Transit.
She added: "We are thankful that no one was on the tennis court and no passengers were on board at that time. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
When Channel NewsAsia arrived on the scene at about 8.30pm, the bus had already been removed. A large gaping hole was seen in the fence surrounding the tennis court.
On Thursday, an SMRT bendy bus was stuck in a field near Kim Keat Avenue after its driver took a wrong turn. It was towed away after 10 hours, but not before social media users had a field day documenting the incident.
