SINGAPORE: The Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) have confirmed that Mobile Alliance and Tele Infinity at People's Park Complex have ceased all business activities since Nov 15. They have given up their lease of four shop units at the shopping complex. Additionally, the owner had applied to strike the businesses off from the records, and the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) approved the application on Nov 16, CASE added in its press release on Tuesday (Nov 25). As they have ceased operations, both parties will not be signing the Voluntary Compliance Agreement. CASE had on Nov 14 invited them to sign the VCA to stop engaging in "unfair practices". It added it had met the owner of the two businesses on Nov 21. "The owner agreed to resolve all outstanding cases filed CASE and to provide a satisfactory settlement for the consumers," the press release stated. CASE encouraged all consumers with unresolved disputes against Mobile Alliance and Tele Infinity to file their complaints with the association as soon as possible. |
