Man arrested for allegedly breaking into Serangoon Road restaurant

A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a restaurant along Serangoon Road and stealing S$450, said the police on Friday (May 6). 

The police received a report on May 5 at about 1.08am about a breaking in at the restaurant, and established the suspect's identity before arresting him on the same day along Liang Seah Street at about 3pm.

The suspect will be charged on Saturday, and if found guilty, will face a jail sentence of between two and 14 years, the press release said.
