To commemorate the Republic's 50th birthday, this year's National Day funpack will come in 50 different designs created by Singaporeans from all walks of life.

This was unveiled during a briefing conducted by the National Day Parade (NDP) 2015 Executive Committee on Wednesday (Jun 3). Items in the funpack would include items that are "reminiscent of our early years" such as a collectible Singa Lion figure and snacks like haw flakes, the press release added.
Every Singaporean and Permanent Resident (PR) household will receive a SG Funpack, and the Committee is working with the People's Association to distribute a total of 1.2 million of these funpacks. Households can expect to receive instructions on the collection of the funpack through mail by July 2015.
Those attending the parade itself would receive a NDP Funpack, which would have more food and drinks to "keep spectators from getting hungry and thirsty", as well as selected interactive items for them to participate in the show, the press release said.
"We wanted this NDP to be special for every Singaporean and for them to be part of the celebrations, regardless of whether they could be at the Padang or the Marina Bay area, and we felt a funpack for every household best served this purpose," said Colonel Frederick Choo, Chairman of the Engagement, Celebrations and Mobile Column Committee.
"We also wanted the funpack to feature memories that connect Singaporeans across generations, so that stories of life in Singapore's earlier years can be told by the seniors to the young ones in each family."
