Fallen tree along Aljunied Road damages van

A fallen tree along Aljunied Road crushed the top of a van on Tuesday evening (Dec 13), blocking off traffic in both directions.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted to the incident near the junction of MacPherson Road at around 8.05pm. One fire engine was dispatched to the scene, but no injuries were reported.

When TODAY arrived at the scene at around 9pm, the stretch of road from Paya Lebar to Mount Vernon remained closed. SCDF personnel were also seen trying to remove the fallen tree.
