Two male suspects have been arrested for using cloned cards to make unauthorised withdrawals from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), according to the police.
In a press release on Thursday (Mar 17), the police said the they were informed on Feb 25 that several such withdrawals had been made via cloned ATM cards and some of these cards were detained by the ATMs.
ADVERTISINGOfficers from the Tanglin Division then followed up on the report and established the suspects' identities before arresting them at Changi Airport on Mar 16.
Both suspects will be charged in court on Friday. If convicted, they face a jail term of up to three years and a fine, according to the press release.
