Well-loved Taiwanese comedian Zhuge Liang (real name: Xie Youzhen) lives to tell his harrowing tale after suffering a heart attack on Tuesday.
The 65-year-old was at home when the incident happened and was sent to the hospital immediately. He is currently on medication introduced by his friend to help prevent heart attacks and last suffered an attack seven years ago.
To add on to his health woes, the comedian is reportedly battling numerous illnesses such as diabetes, osteoarthritis and eye problems.
While recording for his variety show yesterday afternoon, the worried host confessed, “I almost died. I’m now over my sixties and still on good terms with my family. I’ve also made it a point to change my bad habits.”
The TV personality also told his son that he does not need “a public memorial” and prefers a low-key funeral ceremony attended by his loved ones.
