Taiwanese Actress Di Ying Goes On Drunken Live Stream Rant About A 'Miss Lin' Who's Trying To "Steal" Her Husband
In a… well, interesting twist of events, Taiwanese celeb couple Di Ying and Sun Peng did a live stream together on September 13. where they were seen drinking and chatting with their viewers. However, the live stream soon devolved into a string of drunken outbursts from Di Ying as the night wore on.
Di Ying and Sun Peng have received quite a bit of media coverage in recent years due to their 20-year-old son, Edward, who was arrested in the United States two years ago for threatening to shoot up his high school.
While Edward recently came out to share that his “threat” was merely a joke that he had made in poor taste, the authorities did not take the issue lightly, with Taiwanese officials looking to charge Edward for “attempting to manufacture a firearm” a year after the was deported from the States for making terroristic threats.
Di Ying was visibly affected by the news that Taiwanese authorities intended to formally charge Edward for his actions, saying that her son had “merely made a joke that he shouldn’t have made”.
The 58-year-old star, who was crying by then, went on to recount how Edward had been locked up in the States for over 200 days. When the 20-year-old was eventually released, Di Ying shared that she’d thought the ordeal would be finally over for their family-of-three.
“I never thought that we’d still be in danger back in our hometown,” she said.
The actress went on to say, through her tears: “My son’s very strong, and I can’t be weak. Since this issue has already been handed over to the judicial system, I believe that God will be fair to us.”
Sun Peng, who was by her side, also comforted Di Ying, saying: “If you wish to cry, just cry it out, this is our home [after all].”
However, during the later half of the live stream, Di Ying suddenly turned to the camera to declare: No one can snatch my son away [from me],” before going on to yell: “Don’t try to snatch my husband [too], especially that person with the surname ‘Lin’ ”.
Her outburst visibly shocked Sun Peng, who quickly started calming Di Ying down.
According to reports, in 2015, a number of media outlets ran reports claiming that Sun Peng was cheating on Di Ying with a golf player identified as ‘Miss Lin’. The duo were often seen together, with reports alleging that Sun Peng was a frequent visitor at Miss Lin’s apartment.
At that time, Di Ying had stood by Sun Peng, with this statement on Facebook: “No matter what the outside world says, I trust my husband, and trust that no one can destroy our family”.
Sun Peng also denied the reports, explaining that he was just friends with Miss Lin.
