Entertainers including Barbie and Dee Hsu gathered at his memorial service to pay tribute to him
Entertainer Da Bing was fondly remembered through tearful smiles at his memorial service which was held in Taiwan on July 30. Fellow celebrities, including Pace Wu, Christine Fan, Blackie, Aya, Barbie and Dee Hsu attended the memorial service, where anecdotes of the late Da Bing were shared. Dee paid special attention to her attire as she donned a pink hair accessory and pale blue pumps - all Da Bing's favourite colours.
Barbie, who had been classmates with Da Bing at the prestigious Hua Gang Arts School, fondly recalled that Da Bing had the habit of writing jazz songs to perform for the class, but she would cheekily leave the classroom immediately after he had finished composing and joked that she probably did not leave the best impression on him then.
She also revealed that Da Bing had the habit of trying to swallow his fist, and that there was once where his lips bled because they were too dry during the winter season. He then tried to swallow Dee's fist, but she later threw up because "his saliva was all over my hands". Barbie, Dee and Aya then proceeded to put their fists in their mouths as a tribute to Da Bing.
The rumours that Dee had ostracised Da Bing before his death were found to be untrue when it was revealed that she had aided Xiao Bing financially when Da Bing was hospitalised. She shared, "I believe that his family will look after themselves well, but if they ever need me, I will help them."
