Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin announced on September 9 that she will be returning to school to pursue a Master's degree.
Posting a picture of her student ID card on her Weibo account, the 43-year-old shared that she will be studying at the Shih Hsin University in Shanghai, China. After attending the orientation session, Ruby took a picture of her student ID to share her feelings on returning to school with her fans.
"After so many years, (I've gotten another) student ID card. We really can’t use our busy (schedules) as an excuse to stop improving ourselves. Relearning the joy of being a student, allowing myself to start again from zero, to start learning everything all over again,” she wrote.
Other than a picture of her student ID card, the actress also uploaded a picture of her textbook, Organisational Theory and Management, as well as her enrollment handbook, where the words, Higher-Level Marketing Management, which is believed to be the course that Ruby’s is reading, can be seen.
According to Taiwanese reports, Ruby originally intended to go abroad to further her studies after graduating from high school. However, she joined the entertainment industry at the age of 17, shelving her plans for further studies indefinitely.
Ruby revealed that her decision to go back to school was also in part because of her daughter, 2-year-old Little Dolphin, but did not elaborate.
Just like Taiwanese actress Vivian Hsu, who graduated from the same university in June this year, Ruby will be attending classes at the Shanghai campus twice a week.
