Popular Taiwanese singer-host Pauline Lan, held her first solo concert in 28 years at the Taipei Arena last Saturday, showing off her voluptuous figure in a bodysuit mounted with 8000 Swarovski crystals during her opening stage.
After performing the first two songs in the body-hugging outfit, Pauline exclaimed "I'm so tired!" and jokingly lamented in Taiwanese Hokkien that her pants were too tight, causing the crowd to break out in laughter.
The highlight of the concert came when the 46-year-old changed out of her dress on stage, baring her entire back to the audience who responded with screams of approval. On the other hand, the band members who 'witnessed' the frontal view of her disrobing looked embarrassed.
Host of Queen (also known as Nu Ren Wo Zhui Da), a well-loved Taiwanese variety programme, Pauline made seven outfit changes during the concert, with the resplendent costumes reportedly amounting to TWD $14,000,000 (S$590,000) in total.
Taiwanese artiste Show Luo, who was seen at the concert, showered compliments on Pauline's avant-garde fashion, "The costumes are very fashion-forward."
Fellow singer Jolin Tsai also turned up to support the veteran's show and raved, "The outfit during opening [of the concert] is too sexy!"
