Unfortunately for fans who were expecting to see SHINee’s Key perform in the musical Bonnie & Clyde on October 10, the show has been canceled.
On October 4, SM Entertainment put up a notice regarding SHINee’s upcoming promotions for its fifth mini album, Everybody.
In the notice, SM Entertainment stated that SHINee will begin promotions on October 10 with Mnet’s M COUNTDOWN, followed by SHINee’s prerecording for SBS’ Inkigayo at 8PM (KST) on the same day.
The problem was that Key was due to perform for the music at 8PM as well, causing the entire performance for Thursday, October 10 to be canceled and rescheduled for Friday, October 25 with the same cast and same seats for the audience.
“We sincerely apologize for the unforseen discomfort that we may have caused to everyone who has been sending interest and support for Key’s musical activities. As this is due to shining SHINee’s activities, we ask that fans be understanding.”
M Music Art, in charge of the production, stated, "It was a decision made for the audience. As the majority of the ticket holders were fans of Key, instead of letting the show go on with an understudy, we decided to cancel the show and reschedule it."
The production company added that it has talked with SM Entertainment and has let ticket holders know two weeks beforehand.
Ticket holders can also get refunded if they′d like.
