Jolin Tsai (蔡依林) successfully completed a complex “spinning pole dance” on 4-meter high steel pole at her Kaohsiung concert on Saturday.
The Taiwan singer was initially set to perform the dance at her Taipei show last year, but was forced to cancel that segment after she fell off the pole and sustained injuries during practice.
Dressed in a white corset, Jolin showed off her dance moves throughout the 170-second single and double pole dance, inviting thunderous applause from the audience.
The bruises from her injuries were clearly visible on her legs.
According to the media, Jolin’s “2013 Myself World Tour,” which extended for two years and four months with Kaohsiung as the last stop, drew a total of 600,000 people at 35 concert performances across 31 cities around the world, bringing in ticket sales of NT$1.5 billion ($50 million).
All the pole dance training has streamlined the curves of her body and she is particularly proud of her buttocks, saying “Not only am I an ‘Iron Lady,’ I also have an iron butt.”
At the after party, she denied media reports that she had flatly rejected her model boyfriend Vivian Dawson‘s (錦榮) not-so-well-organized marriage proposals twice.
She said, “Although I want to see what my kids look like, it’s not the time yet.”
