Everyone knows Mandopop king Jay Chou has several great loves in his life (besides his wife Hannah Quinlivan and their two kids, of course), and that's music, magic, bubble tea, fancy cars, and last but not least, basketball. The star often takes time out of his busy schedule to shoot some hoops with friends — just check out all the clips on his ‘gram — and it looks like he's been widening his circle of basketball buddies.
Choreographer Delia Tseng posted several pictures that were taken during a game with Jay, Hannah, and a group of other friends. FYI, Delia also happens to be the wife of Taiwanese billionaire Terry Gou, who is the founder of Apple manufacturer Foxconn and was once Taiwan’s richest man with a reported net worth of US$6.3bil (S$8.6bil). Guess tai tai life isn’t just all about high tea parties in designer dresses.
What’s more, the other players have been identified as Taipei City councillor Keng Wei as well as Patty Tsai, who is married to Taiwanese politician Sean Lien aka the son of former Taiwanese vice president Lien Chan. Needless to say, the eclectic and unexpected gathering between such notable figures in entertainment, business, and politics certainly got the internet buzzing.
Netizens also found it fascinating to see the ladies, who usually look all prim, proper, and dressed up, sweating it out in athleisure. Even Taiwanese socialite Aimee Sun was amazed, and said that she intends to learn how to play basketball so she can join them as well.
As it turns out, Delia’s got some pretty mad skills on the court, or at least that’s what’s been derived from her conversation with Patty in the comments section of the latter’s post. According to Patty, Delia did a good job at blocking her shot, and it’s clear from the pictures just how into the game everyone was.
It’s no secret just how much Jay adores basketball. Besides indulging in regular games with his celebrity pals, he formed his own three-on-three league two years ago and was one of the team leaders on Chinese basketball variety show Dunk Boys.
