It was revealed that the head of a notorious burglary ring in Taiwan, Wang Pi Chun, has been arrested while attempting to rob two wealthy residences in Taipei; one of them rumoured to be Jay Chou's luxury condo.
According to Popular Asians, on 20 December, Wang was arrested after trying to break into two luxury apartments on the 18th floor of Yi Ping Yuan, reportedly after two days of scheming and planning.
The burglar managed to sneak past surveillance by disguising himself as a renovation worker on 18 December.
It was reported that the National Police Agency of Taiwan had been informed of Wang and his burglary ring since six months back and were ready for his crimes.
Although the police and his agency, JVR Music, refused to clarify whether one of the two apartments that were under surveillance belonged to Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou, the media reported that Jay Chou did buy two luxury apartment suites at Yi Ping Yuan last August – one on the 18th floor under his name and another o 4th, under his mother Yeh Hui Mei's name.
