Hong Kong showbiz is buzzing with speculations on this year's acting nominations for the annual TVB awards as the year draws to a close.
Raymond Lam's well-loved role as Wai Sir in current TVB hit drama, Highs and Lows, has sparked rave anticipations of him winning the "Best Actor" award this year.
It is reported that TVB will adopt a new rule for its annual awards and will introduce public voting to help decide its final outcome. With a huge fan base consisting of mainly teenage girls and housewives, Raymond is tipped as hot favourite with high hopes in winning.
Adding on to speculations, rumour has it that TVB's top management are in favour of awarding Raymond with the "Best Actor" title this year.
The actor-singer recently returned to Hong Kong for Highs and Lows' promotional event despite his hectic filming schedule in Heng Dian, China.
Reportedly pocketing an estimated eight-figure sum from his participation in Chinese drama, Legend of the Purple Hairpin, the 32-year-old declined to comment on his earnings and instead, hinted, "It's [my earnings are] adequate to purchase an apartment. Time to save for my wedding now."
