After his drunken brawl with buddy, Justin Lo, four years ago, Malaysian singer Gary Chaw made headlines again for throwing a drunken fit during a performance at Xi’an Riverside, last Sunday.
According to Taiwanese media reports, a tipsy Gary went up on stage yelling “Bullshit!” to his audience. After which, he continued to curse and swear with his middle finger.
“If you (pointing at the audience) don’t like me, then I’ll leave! Why is it that even when I have said the truth, you guys still think of me badly? I’m just going to say what I want from now on,” he ranted.
Gary, who once said that he will leave showbiz if he makes another foolish drunken mistake, was heavily criticised by netizens after a video of the incident went viral online the next day.
Shortly after, the 34-year-old singer posted on his Facebook, “I’m out (from showbiz). No more playing. I’m out!”
In response to the bad press recently, Gary’s manager opened up to reporters yesterday explaining that the singer was under a lot of work stress recently and had a bad quarrel with his wife.
And when asked to clarify on the latter’s Facebook post, he said “I’ll leave that to him to decide.”
Gary, on the other hand, has since apologised and requested for time to calm down.
