Big Bang's T.O.P has been tapped for a role in an upcoming historical drama "Jang Okjeong, Living in Love." According to the drama's production agency, T.O.P has been offered one of the lead roles in the drama.
However, it was emphasised that T.O.P is positively gearing on participating in the production but has made no official decision yet. If confirmed, he will be starring alongside veteran actress Kim Taehee, who has confirmed her spot on the production last October.
"Jang Okjeong, Living in Love" will focus on Jang Okjeong, which is based on Jang Heebin, one of the legendary royal concubines in the Joseon Dynasty. The drama will try to portray a different side of the famous concubine who ho tried to gain the love and attention of the King from the Joseon Dynasty and eventually became legendary for her powerful rise in the kingdom before she was sentenced to death.
The drama is slated to air on March 2013 and will be directed by Boo Sungcheol from "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho."
Aside from filming for the movie "The Alumni." T.O.P is also joining the rest of Big Bang for their "Alive World Tour 2012."
Should T.O.P take the role?
