With their world tour starting this weekend, 2NE1 will be delaying the release of its new single, opting to release a new album in October instead.
2NE1 originally planned on releasing new singles every few weeks, leading up to the release of the new album. The release schedule mirrored the group's single releases of 2011.
"While fans may be disappointed with the sudden change, it was decided so that the girls can concentrate on their global tour and to give producers more time to produce a high quality album," a YG Entertaiment representative stated.
2NE1 kicks off its world tour "New Evolution" on July 28th in Seoul. The group's new single was also scheduled for that day, prompting officials to delay it so the girls would only have to worry about the tour.
